Partner schools are supported in drawing up a programme of shared partnership initiatives and projects, covering both curricular and extra-curricular activities. They will be developed through reciprocal visits and joint planning involving both schools. Shared learning activities are curricular projects to which both schools contribute and form the backbone of your partnership.
The scope for shared learning activities is enormous and they provide opportunities to greatly enhance education in both schools. Shared learning activities often work effectively as cross-curricular projects, for example with topics from History, Geography and Citizenship being explored further through English, Drama, Art and ICT. As funding for reciprocal visits is limited, shared learning activities should be designed without the need for travel, making use of post or e-mail for exchanges.
We can advise you and provide support in both countries to develop your project. We can also supply you with a copy of relevant partner schools’ curricula. Our belief in collaboration means we are always keen to share new ideas and encourage new schools to do the same through us for the betterment of every school partnership.
